Happy Easter!!

As all good daylight saving oblivious kids do Chase woke up extra early at 5:30 looking for his Easter treats. Just kidding he didn't even know what was coming.

Packing begins

Cartons are here and it's time I start getting organised!

So far they have only served as entertainment when Vienna's children came to stay for half a day.

Fun comes first!

Noah's 1st Birthday

February is a huge month for Birthdays in our family, Stephannie, Sebe, Noah, Jony, Myles, Dad and Vienna who tacks on a couple of days into March.

Noah of course had a Noah's ark theme with a very clever and colourful cake.

Noah looks ever bit 1 yr to me but I just don't know where this whole year went!

It was nice to be part of celebrating this happy, healthy little boy!

Chase and i think his first experience with cake and frosting. His Aunty Ali knows us well enough to offer a white one. Although he usually eats everything I give him, he wasn't so keen on his cake.

Jeshua claimed taxes as soon as we sat them down and poor Chase was more than happy to share out of innocence, not being used to defending his property like the other 3 who are younger sibling.

Surprising cake didn't keep them occupied

For as long as you'd think!

It's hard to think this little guy will also be 1 in a month!

It was a wonderful day and im pretty sure Noah thought so too.

Jony's Birthday!

This year for Jony's 29th we decided to go out to dinner with everyone.

His choice of restaurant... Ribs & Rumps!

Jony enjoys his ribs... and as you can see, so does Chase!

Who is another fan of messy food...

Jony always appreciates a family get together especially when there's good food involved!

(To bad about the long wait, but can't expect to much when a booking goes from 20 to 40 people on the day of his dinner on a night which was then booked to capacity).

Moving South...

So dates are set and tickets are booked, we've both handed in our notice and have decided to give the south 12 months to win us over!

We will be saying 'Goodbye' to traffic, trains and RAAF planes as of May 1st and 'Hello' to unfamiliar winter chills which we are clearly unequipped for when it comes to apparel! I have purchased some leggings and a beanie for Chase and am still looking for a few warmer coats to get him through his first Tassie winter.

The cold can only last so long... right?

Before we go we will be celebrating Chase's 1st Birthday here with most of his extended family including his many cousins who we'll be sad to leave especially the 5 his age which we had pictured him growing up with . But Chloe and Lachie have lots of love for their Chase so he won't be lonely!

We have so much to do and organise before the move so WISH US LUCK!

Catching Up...

Our little cheeky boy has grown up so much, crawling, dancing, clapping and running away when he knows he has put something in his mouth that I don't approve of. He is such a joy to be around even when climbing up my legs every chance he gets!

Vienna put a surprise 30th on for Ricky, 'come dressed as your child hood heros'... So Jony and I went as the ghost busters... Not my heros but I remember more of them than any Marvel characters.

And of cooarse Chase came as Slimmer... Little trooper with his broken leg!

Don't you just love the electrical tape repair job on his cast!

I was alot of fun with alot of work, we made these shirts for the kids as it was a Transformers theme... Ricky being a huge fan of the original comics. Who would've thought!

Then came Christmas... what a great time of year! Although this year it fell in between moving house and unfortunately Chase was sick on his first family Christmas Eve and not long after this shot threw up all over himself and my dress. Poor guy, we spent the next couple of hours showering off and trying to put him to sleep in amongst all the celebration noise. So we missed Santa but did enjoy the next morning when he got to open them!

His favorite toy was from his kris kringle, Tia Wendy and family!

Next was a family trip to Berry for the weekend of new years where Stephannie thought it would be hilarious to catch a frog and put on Vienna's head! If you know Stephannie, you'd expect something like that and if you know Vienna you probably would have expected more of a reaction... but I guess frogs aren't as scary as bugs!

Then from there straight to Tassie to visit and farewell my family.

Once back home Vienna who wasn't able to come organised a camping trip with family and friends. Loving the water!

Then finally back home to start organising life again in a new place! Oh and back to work, where the hardest part of my day is having to wake him in the morning to take him to his Aunty Vienna's

Apart from the fair hair, fair skin and blue eyes... you couldn't tell us apart.

p.s. Chase broke his leg

Thanks to my work (last years Christmas gift) Jony, Chase and I were able to have a lovely weekend away at a 5 star Resort with a beautiful beach front room. Buffet breakfast, dinner at a lovely ocean view restaurant and whale watching gave us more than enough to do while we were there!

It was nice to see all those I worked with before I had Chase as we met up for the whale watching cruise on Saturday.

I was so excited as I had never seen a whale before!

But before long this was me on the back of the boat after being the first to be

sick over the back...

Despite finding a seat at the back and staying there the entire time, I was fortunate enough to still see most of the action from where I was sitting while Jony was taking the photos.

It was great to be able to see the big beautiful animals in real life but can't say I wasn't happy to be leaving them as we started sailing back to the shore...

After breakfast on our second morning we headed to the beach out front and gave Chase his first experience with sand, which he seemed to really like and of-cause he then though he might like the taste of it also!

He wasn't so sure about the cold water as it crept toward him, occasionally getting his little toes!

We enjoy spending time together as a family and it was nice to have the opportunity to get away with our little man and a king size bed that comfortably fit all three of us!

Soggy Saturday

Rain Rain go away, come again on a working day, 'cause little Jony wants to play.

Unable to go outside we decided to have a game of Chess

and bake warm toasty bread for lunch...

... Four hours later we found this lump!

So after such a disappointing first attempt we got some new yeast from mum and tried again.

Another four hours later... Success!

But by that time it was way passed lunch.

Lucky for us, Chase doesn't get stir crazy if he cant go outside,

he is used to it (mummy has been a bit of a vampire over winter).

All said and done, we are very grateful for the rain and know it is needed everywhere.

We had a beautiful day just spending time together.
