Chase and his Daddy..

Chase can't get enough of his daddy!

(Unless he is sick, then he wants his mummy... I guess my clothes are just a nicer texture to wipe a sore snotty nose on).

It's nice that our mere presence at times can bring him so much comfort and joy.

This was him only seconds earlier trying his hardest to get his daddy's attention through the lounge-room window while daddy was paying attention to this...

It's nice to have a husband who appreciates some of the simpler things in life in amongst his obsession with the World Cup!

Fine weather for the beach...

Well fine enough for a walk on the beach...

Having been invited to dinner out at Port Sorell, we though we would take advantage of the trip and pop down to the water with Chase for a stroll.

He enjoyed watching the subtle waves coming and going and of course like most kids wanted to touch it despite it's icy pierce!

Jony absolutely loves the beach and would move there in a flash, while I on the other hand am happy to just visit when the weather is warm...

I'm sure Summer will make it a whole lot more enticing!

Private...

We are going private so our blog can be a little more personal as we have family interstate we would love to share more with and I don't feel comfortable sharing much on a public page. This doesn't mean those who are not family are not welcome to look and share in our experiences and memorable moments, we would just like to narrow the viewing to family, friends and others we know are not looking at our blog for the wrong reasons... even though I'm sure the risks are 1 in a million, we don't want to be that 1!

So please feel free to leave your email in the 'post a comment' below and I'll be sure to add you when we go private in a week or so! We love that people enjoy looking at our blog and don't want to stop anyone, just don't want it open to the whole internet world of unknowns!

(We did have an unexpected message from an unusual place which made us aware of how public it can be back when we first started our blog and have been mindful of what we've been sharing with regards to personal information but would like to avoid that worry).

Who needs toys anyway...

So much for the big box of toys that I thought would keep him occupied!

Better than Christmas...

Yesterday we opened a box of toys that Chase hadn't seen for almost two months as it was packed and came down on the truck before we did...

Big smiles as he began searching through and pulling out different things!

And after all the fun, just a big mess of toys! Way too many for one little boy...

...I think we will be packing some 'back' away before long.

My precious boy is growing up and getting more personality and along with it more cheeky behaviour...

I haven't quite got around the fact that my baby boy is soon to be a big brother!

The Challenge...

So as you might have read on Vienna and Stephannie's blog, Stephannie has set us a challenge!

Blogging every day for a month starting today...

Whether I get a blog up once a day or not, I am glad for the motivation it gives me to appreciate and write about the little everyday things! (Not to mention getting out the SLR instead of using my camera phone to get some decent un-blurred photos of Chase!

So I apologise in advance for the terrible quality...

So here we go with a quick update to start my 'month - blogged'.

Living at my parents place for a month was nice, Chase was able to get to know the family again as he'd not seen them for almost 4 months and Ziva their dog had Chase entertained much of the time with her endless patience. She reminds me of Sasha in size but Bruno when it comes to temperament!

Everything Poppy has, Chase wants... even water taste better when it's Poppy's!

6 months pregnant, a healthy baby, lots of movement and a little pot belly that Chase loves to blow raspberries on!

A little boy who has had his first real icecream on a cone, but ate it with a spoon anyway... loves his cuttlery. Eats his vita-brits all by himself and downed a jar of anchovy stuffed olives in two sittings!

Oh and the first time he had his OWN packet of chips from his Aunty Stephannie. She gave him plain... but he wanted burger rings, so mummy ate the plain ones!

We've moved out to a nice place that will take us through to mid November and then we will need to make a decission about where we want to live over Summer, and hope there is a good place in our price range at that time.

One week today...

So, we've been here for one week today!

Still feels like a holiday, but I guess with time that feeling will pass as we become more settled in our own routines and when we get into our own place.

The weather is on and off, some days that are fine and then others that are cold and windy. Chase has adjusted quite well, especially since he was only weened two weeks ago. I think dad coming up and staying with us for a while has helped with the transition, having a familiar face amongst the noise and hustle of the home!

As we were returning from an unexpected interview, we stopped by a beach with a great park for the kids right by the water. Not that you can tell because he just woke up, but Chase is enjoying watching and feeding the birds. He is so curious about all the little lizards and bugs around the property, I'm just worried that given half the chance he might try to eat them... but glad he's not to precious! (Especially with another on the way).

Missing our family back home, I'm sure Chase would love to see his Serena... I miss the joy and excitement they have whenever they get together!
